Any CD can include our Songs 2 Mobile software to offer consumers 1-10 free ringtones on any given CD as part of a marketing campaign or simply as a way to 'give something back to fans.
The Songs 2 Mobile application is an extension of our desktop ringtone creating software to provide a new revenue stream and enhance the use and image of a CD for the benefit of the artist. It consists in a small kernel that needs to be burnt on to the master CD after the tracks. Thus the buyer of the CD will have the possibility to create a number of free ringtones from the tracks designated by the artist and afterwards buy the others he makes. The creation of a CD and also the sales stats are available on our 24/7 online admin site with real time reporting.
The application also provides a new marketing opportunity by adding a cool new feature to a music CD and with the bonus of our Social Network plugin, which allows a user to post his created ringtones on MySpace, Imeem, Friendster, HI5 etc... Every user will also have an account on the Songs 2 Mobile network where they can interact with their favorite bands and also other fans.
Songs 2 Mobile can include the album graphics and the album / artist web site for an enhanced user contact with the artist and a better promotion of the album.
Features and functionality
Easy installation of application on master CD (we walk you through all the steps required to put Songs 2 Mobile on your CD quickly and easily)

Extract the .zip archive folder (it will result in "2 data items": 1 folder and 1 file)
With your burning software open, copy the 2 data items (the file and folder) to the "Data Contents" section of the CD Extra.
Once the CD is burnt with the 2 data items, eject the disk and then reinsert in your PC (must have an internet connection). Also, please close any music or media players (e.g. iTunes, WinAmp, Real Player, etc.) prior to inserting disk.
When the "Product not registered" screen pops up, click on "Register CD".
Input your user name and password as provided to you. (If you have not received a username and password, please contact us at support@songs2mobile.com with your company details and reference any previous correspondence with us or our resellers.)
Follow the steps outlined in the "Details for "[CD Title]" Audio CD" (there are 4 steps to complete). NOTE: If you do not complete all of the steps below within a certain time period and the session expires, you can continue the process by accessing this page and re-entering your user name and password.
Step 1: Enter CD information
- Fill in the name of the band/artist (if there is more than 1 band/artist on the CD, you can write "Multiple artist" or "Compilation" here)
- Fill in the title of the CD
- The home page address you provide will appear in the application under the "Album Homepage" menu for the user/consumer to click on and visit.
- If there is more than one artist on the CD, please select "No". You will be able to input each artist/bands name during Step 3 "Tracks List" for each respective song.
Step 2: Upload CD image
- You can upload an image (album cover, etc.) which will appear on the first page of the application. The image size can only be 250x250 px in a jpeg file format. Follow the directions on the page to upload the image. A default image of "Songs 2 Mobile" will appear within the application if you do not choose to insert an image.
Step 3: Enter CD tracks
- Here you add each track on the CD. This data is verified only by you. Therefore, what you input here will appear within the application (artist names, song titles, song durations, etc.). However, this data can be modified at a later date by accessing this page and re-entering your user name and password.
- To add a new track to the list click the "Add new track" link to the bottom right hand side (shown with a green box in the screen shot example).
- If you want to restrict a track/song from being made into a ringtone, select "No" next to the "Ringtoneable" field. The track will appear in the list within the application, but the user will not be able to make it into a ringtone.
Step 4: Finish CD registration
- When you're happy with your selection click the "Finish registration" button to save the CD settings
