General:
FasPay Technologies is a developer and distributor of content for mobile phone applications. Also, the FasPay team develops proprietary applications for mobile phones among which the SMS Alerts/Interrogation that can be offered packaged with a Gateway service also available from FasPay.
The SMS Gateway and Alert/Interrogation application can be used by a multitude of companies in various fields of business such as: financial institutions (banks, brokerage houses, consumer credit institutions), media & advertising, distribution looking to get competitive advantage over competitors offering their customers an additional service that responds to their needs.
Gateway and SMS Application Description
Gateway
FasPay Technologies makes available to potential clients a versatile Gateway which allows interconnection with multiple mobile phone carriers to send and receive SMS. Through this Gateway the Client company has the opportunity/choice to offer its customers an Alert/Interrogation service with a extensive coverage in terms of network operators. The Gateway presented in Figure 1 is very flexible as it can accommodate interconnection with either the FasPay Alerts/Interrogation application or another application of the Client's choice (third party of Client proprietary application) based on interconnection specifications made available by FasPay. SMS Applications
The Alert only, Interrogation only or Alert/Interrogation applications can be developed on a customized basis by FasPay or by the Client. The application will allow Client's customers that are subscribers to a mobile phone network to receive general information, confidential information (e.g. in the case of banks account debiting/crediting movements). Also, customers will have the choice to send interrogation messages and receive pre-established information.
1. Alerts
Alerts are options available from FasPay set up to notify customers about predefined relevant events/information.
Alert types:
Periodical: in this case customers do not intervene, the system sending predefined information at pre-set time intervals: daily, weekly, monthly (day and time established by the Client).
Event triggered: alert is sent to customer once a predefined event occurs. For instance, in the case of a banking institution alerts can be automatically sent at account movements (debiting/crediting), change in interest rates, card frauds, etc. All up-dates of various features of the bank account represent an event that triggers automatic SMS alert sending to the customer.Like it shows in the figure below.

2. Interogation
The customer can interrogate the system by sending an SMS either to a usual mobile number (e.g. 0722 212345) or to a short number (4 figures) which is unique irrespective of the carrier(s). (e.g.1484). It will be a usual SMS call sent to the respective network. The message will be accepted by the system based on interrogating phone number. In addition to this authentication a procedure checking the presence of a code can be provided for sensitive/confidential information.

Interconnection - Subscription and/or Payment Modalities
Irrespective of the interconnection package (gateway and application) agreed with FasPay the Client will not incur carriers interconnection charges which will be borne by FasPay. FasPay can also make available free periodical reports (daily, weekly) showing the service evolution/progress, graphic forecasts, technical support for the implementation of customer loyalty building and other marketing instruments.
Possible payment modalities:
"SMS Alert" - cost at customer's expense (pre-pay type payment or by debiting a customer's account with the Client (wherever applicable);
"SMS Alert" - cost at Client's expense (promotion campaigns, marketing);
SMS sent and received - "Alerts/Interrogation" - cost at customer's expense (subscription to the Client's Alert/ Interrogation service);
SMS sent and received - "Alert/Interrogation" - cost at the Client's expense (promotion, marketing campaigns);
