What music file formats is MYORMR compatible?
MP3 and WMA. The MYORMR application makes all conversions necessary for the web site visitor to playback and crop the selected music file into the ringtone they want. Then we prepare the final music file into the correct file format for the respective mobile phone type.
Do you offer Digital Rights Management “DRM?protection?
Yes. We understand the importance of Rights, Royalties and License issues. And therefore, we help you and the music industry protect the rights of music files by encrypting the ringtone file with Digital Rights Management.
What kind of Digital Rights Management protection do you offer?
MYORMR works with the latest version of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) standards for Digital Rights Management, the technology which ensures the music is legally protected. A ringtone created with MYORMR is protected according to OMA DRM v1.0 (Forward Lock and Combined Delivery) depending on the end users phone models.
Can MYORMR run on .asp or .php sites?
Yes, it does not make any difference in which programming language the site is built. Setting up the tool makes use only of JavaScript and HTTP GET communication.
What internet browsers are compatible with MYORMR?
MYOMW is compatible with: Internet Explorer v5.5 or higher, Mozilla Suite v1.7 or higher, Firefox v1.0 (final) or higher and Safari v2.1.2 or higher. But since MYORMR is in flash, it should be compatible with most any browser!
Is it hard to get MYORMR set up on my site?
No, it is very easy and quick. There is minimal programming required for your web master (please see the related Technical documents section). FasPay promotes the MYORMR application as a managed service complete with technical support, billing (if chosen and required) and customer care. We make sure that you get MYORMR up as fast as possible to help you start generating revenues asap. Once it is up, you almost never have to worry about it again.
Does any application software go on our servers?
No, we do not install any software applications on your server. The application sits on the MYORMR server and you will only have to add a little bit of code to your site to be able to communicate with our server. For MYORMR, all communication will be done via HTTP GET. FasPay technical staff will work with your IT staff to assist in site updates to integrate the MYORMR links in the site graphics.
What happens when new phones come out on the market?
You do nothing?we take care of it all. Our continued service and support to you is that we will update the phone compatibility list on a weekly basis. We research and test new phones all of the time for global markets.
We have over 500,000 music files we would like to offer via MYORMR. Do we have to program code for every music file?
No. As long as your music files are projected dynamically (which usually happens with large database of music files), you will only have to write the code once in your site, not for every song/music file.
If we add new songs and music files to our site after the MYORMR links are set up, do we have to do additional programming to offer these to users?
No. As long as your website pages are projected dynamically using PHP/ASP/JSP/etc technologies (which usually happens nowadays), you will only have to write the code once in your website not for every song/music file page.
Is there any limit on the size or type of music file that can be used with the MYORMR application?
There are no size limitations. However, if the song is long (e.g. a classical music piece) then it will download longer to the end users computer. The original music file format can be mp3 or wma.
MYORMR Application Updates? What do we have to do in the event there are updates to the application?
Nothing. MYORMR technical staff will take care of all the application programming elements including updates, and new versions. If there are any modifications to the technical documentation as a result, we will inform you in advance.
How do we know that no one else is downloading the music file from our server when you request it?
We know the importance of protecting proprietary content, while at the same time wanting to make content commercially available. Therefore, with your cooperation and approval, we will share the URL address of the picture and allow this only to be requested from our unique IP address to ensure you that only we are accessing specific information. You control our access!
What kind of payment tools for the content to you have?
We provide a full range of payment tools depending on the geographic location. The payment options including phone/Premium Rate Lines (including IVR), Reverse Bill SMS, Credit Card/Debit Card and PayPal revenue collection facilities.
I outsource the technical services of my website, can I still use this application?
Yes, we will work with your technical services provider to make the necessary additions to the site so you can using the application asap.
Who will be responsible for the transmission of url address of the ringtone to the user?
The url address will be either displayed on the screen of the computer after payment confirmation, or it will be sent to the phone via sms. The delivery depends on which method you have chosen within our payment plans. Displaying the url address on the phone is standard and does not have any additional charges. If FasPay is to send the url address by sms, you will incur additional sms charges and any related internetworking fees.
What happens to the custom ringtone once it is created?
The custom ringtone will be saved and reside on our server but it will be deleted 10 days after it was created.
